STONE TOWN

DAY
01

On arrival at Zanzibar International Airport, you’ll be met and transferred to your Stone Town hotel. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Stone Town is just a short 20-minute drive from the airport. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore the atmospheric narrow streets of Stone Town, where you can immerse yourself in its rich history and vibrant culture.

SAADANI NATIONAL PARK SAFARI

After breakfast transfer back to the airport for your scheduled flight to Saadani National Park. It takes just 20 minutes to arrive at Saadani airstrip where you will be picked up and enjoy your first game drive ending at Bab’s camp for Lunch. After lunch rest then go for an evening game drive ending at the beautiful Simply Saadani Camp in time for a sundowner and dinner.

Camp activities and The Lion Project

The Simply Saadani plot extends to over 2sqkm with a huge beach front of 700 metres. Besides the opportunity to swim in the Indian Ocean, there are walking trails, a canoe ride, wildlife watching hides and our fantastic research centre to discover. The lion project which began in 2024 is run from the centre and meeting the researchers based here offers a wonderful chance to learn about the unique coastal lions of Saadani and the plight across Africa of, the most iconic animal of the all.

GAME DRIVE & BOAT SAFARI

04

This morning, set off for an incredible boat safari on the Wami River, where you’ll encounter large pods of hippos and crocodiles. From your boat, you’ll have a great vantage point to observe the wildlife coming to the river to drink. Following your river adventure, embark on a game drive through the park. The safari will conclude at Babs Camp, where you’ll have dinner on the salt flats and spend the night.

05

Start your day with an early morning game drive, then head back to the camp for a hearty breakfast. After saying farewell to Bab’s Camp, transfer through the park to the airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, take a road transfer to Nungwi village in the northern part of the island, where you’ll check in at the charming Zanzibari boutique hotel. Enjoy dinner and spend the night.

06-09

Unwind at The Zanzibari boutique hotel, where you can take advantage of various optional excursions (at an additional cost). Choose from a sunset cruise, a visit to the historic Stone Town, snorkeling and diving trips, or other water sports activities. Additionally, you can embark on a guided tour of the nearby fishing village of Nungwi with the renowned “man who knows everybody!”
